Shakey Graves
Shakey Graves is the stage name of Austin, Texas–based artist Alejandro Rose-Garcia, known for his genre-blurring blend of blues, folk, and DIY Americana. Emerging from a fiercely independent background, he self-released his debut album Roll The Bones in 2011, a lo-fi collection of narrative-rich songs that became a cult favorite on Bandcamp, eventually selling over 100,000 copies. A natural storyteller and multi-instrumentalist, Rose-Garcia built his fanbase through raw, magnetic live performances and a steady stream of self-produced music, embracing imperfection and spontaneity as artistic strengths. With later albums like And the War Came and Can’t Wake Up, he expanded his sound with full-band arrangements and studio polish, while still staying rooted in the introspective grit of his early work. Now celebrating the 10th anniversary of Roll The Bones with a deluxe reissue and companion album Odds + Ends, Shakey Graves continues to evolve—offering a catalog shaped by exploration, vulnerability, and a deep connection to his audience.
