Odds
Founded in Vancouver, BC in 1987, Odds burst onto the recording scene in 1991 with their rambunctious, self-produced major label debut, Neopolitan. Their 1993 gold-selling follow-up, Bedbugs featured the iconic single “It Falls Apart”. Bedbugs was notable for its special guest Warren Zevon who had picked up Odds as his band and opening act in late 1991.
The band continued a run of successful and critically acclaimed releases including 1995’s platinum-selling Good Weird Feeling album - “Truth Untold”, “Satisfied”, “Eat My Brain”, and the 1996 album Nest, featuring “Make You Mad” and the #1 hit single “Someone Who’s Cool”.
Since the mid 90’s Odds have taken frequent detours into film and TV music for the likes of the Kids in the Hall and Brent Butt of “Corner Gas” fame. 2008 brought the release of Cheerleader featuring the full length version of “My Happy Place”- end credit theme for the aforementioned “Corner Gas”.
Odds material from 2011-2013 was collated in the album Universal Remote and 2023 brought the release of their freshest effort yet - Crash the Time Machine.
