Kaitie Sly
Kaitie Sly is a veteran bassist from Vancouver Island with nearly 30 years of experience as a touring, session, and performing musician. Starting her career at just eight years old, she has since played iconic venues like Liverpool’s Cavern Club and shared stages with legends such as Motown’s Martha Reeves. Her solo work blends cinematic sound design with jazz, rock, and world music influences—think Peter Gabriel meets Radiohead—anchored by her melodic bass lines. A formally trained artist with numerous accolades, she’s also developed groundbreaking 4DSOUND compositions as artist-in-residence at Lobe Studio and MONOM Berlin. Now head of bass at Musora’s PlayBass platform, Kaitie continues to inspire the next generation of bassists, with her upcoming solo album Forgotten Memoirs set for release in May 2025.
